Limeco Ltd
Hydraulic Lime Products for Sustainable Construction
Limeco Ltd develops, manufactures and sells high performance Hydraulic Limes and derivative products, under the HyperLime™ trademark, for the new build and renovation market.
HyperLime™ hydraulic limes are used as binders for mortars, plasters and renders as sustainable alternatives to cement or gypsum and are rapidly becoming a key raw material for low carbon footprint construction. Sustainable and low carbon footprint construction depends on raw materials with low CO2 footprint in manufacture and in-use, potential for reuse and recycling, minimised transport costs, ease of use, speed of use, low toxicity, performance reliability and durability. HyperLime™ hydraulic lime mortars, plasters and renders are also aesthetically pleasing, adding beauty and value to building.
HyperLime™ products are made from ISO9001 raw materials available locally across the globe. They are also REACH registered in the EU.
HyperLime™ products are specifically designed for use in mortars, plasters and renders that
> have class leading low CO2 footprints in use; ~35kg CO2 per tonne of HyperLime™ mortar, plaster or render
> generate over 75% less CO2 in use when compared with a typical 1:1:6 cement/lime mix mortar or gypsum plaster.
> mix easily and quickly on site without requiring specialist mortar mixers or long mixing times
> have a highly workable, often fatty feel in use.
> are quick setting allowing economic build rates
> do not require continued wetting after application to give strength (can be applied and left to cure)
> are water-stable once cured.
> are water permeable allowing buildings to breathe avoiding damp and condensation damage.
> permit natural movement in buildings and are sacrificial over masonry.
> permit expansion between dissimilar materials minimising the need for expansion gaps.
> do not contain cement, gypsum, chemical/agricultural wastes or by-products from power or metal industries.
> have low toxicity. HyperLime™ contains negligible heavy metals, Cr(VI) and crystalline silica
